Where ABILITY Meets Adventure.
Nestled in Alberta’s outdoors, an hour West of Edmonton, on beautiful Lake Isle, we welcome children, youth, and adults with developmental, physical, and/or cognitive disabilities into a fully accessible camp built for comfort, safety, and joy. Here, barriers are removed so campers can focus on what truly matters: connection, independence, and the simple joy of being part of something bigger.
With accessible facilities, caring and trained staff, and 24/7 support, we create a space where each camper is seen, supported, and encouraged to participate in their own way. From adapted activities to quiet moments by the water or laughter around shared meals, every experience is designed to meet people where they are.
At Camp He Ho Ha, we don’t just run a camp; we create a community where confidence grows, friendships form, and everyone is free to be exactly who they are.

At Camp He Ho Ha, accessibility is at the heart of everything we do. Our site and programs are designed so campers of all abilities can participate fully, comfortably, and safely in every part of the camp experience.
A HOME AWAY FROM HOME: ACCESSIBLE ROOMS & COMFORT
Our cabins and room accommodations are thoughtfully designed to provide a restful, secure, and genuinely welcoming environment that feels like a home away from home. We understand that a good night’s sleep and a comfortable personal space are essential for a successful camp experience, which is why our living quarters feature wide layouts with ample turning radius for wheelchairs and mobility devices. Every room is equipped with highly specialized features, including supportive bedding, easy-access storage, and climate controls to ensure total comfort. Steps away from the sleeping areas, our modern, spacious washrooms and roll-in showers are fully equipped with safety grab bars, continuous-tracking ceiling lifts, and adjustable changing tables. This intentional layout allows campers to unpack, unwind, and rest easy, knowing every square inch of their living space is built with their dignity, privacy, and peace of mind at the forefront.
