improving accessibility, comfort, and safety for campers

At Camp He Ho Ha, we’re continually looking for ways to improve our facilities and create a camp experience that is welcoming, comfortable, and accessible for everyone. We believe every camper deserves the opportunity to enjoy their time at camp with confidence, dignity, and the support they need.

As part of these ongoing efforts, we’ve installed ceiling track lift systems to make transfers safer, easier, and more comfortable for campers who require additional mobility support. These systems are an important improvement to our facilities, helping support campers with varying mobility needs while making daily care routines more comfortable and efficient.

The new ceiling track lifts also help our staff provide personalized care and support, allowing them to focus on each camper’s individual needs. By improving the way transfers are carried out, these upgrades contribute to a more comfortable environment for both campers and the team members who care for them.

Accessibility is an important part of making camp a place where everyone can feel supported, included, and at home. Improvements like these help us continue building an environment where campers can participate in camp life, create meaningful connections, and make lasting memories.

We’re proud to keep investing in our facilities and making thoughtful improvements that enhance the camp experience for the individuals and families we serve. We look forward to continuing this work to make Camp He Ho Ha an even more accessible and welcoming place for everyone.
