Before you decide to apply for a camp counsellor position at Camp Health, Hope & Happiness, you must realize that this job will be unlike anything else you have experienced. To have little free time to yourself
To be around others who may be very different from you

To learn a lot about others and yourself – and to teach others at the same time
To learn that you are far more capable than you ever imagined
To witness human acts of courage that inspire you daily
To gain more from the experience than you ever imagined possible
To understand that the money you are paid could never adequately pay for all that you do
To work hard, very hard in fact
To laugh a lot; at yourself and with others
To never understand how 4 months could go by so quickly
To gain an appreciation for how fragile life is

To cry when it’s time to say goodbye
